Your Americana - Extended Play Version is music show that features a full spectrum of Americana music from Alt-Country to Soul and Zydeco. The show also includes laid back talk and interviews with musicians, community trailblazers, and other interesting people they’ve met at home and throughout their travels. Topics include music, passions, personal experiences, mental health journeys, paradigm shifts and more. Jennifer Westwood and Dylan Dunbar are local, Detroit based musicians who have toured extensively together. Between the two of them, they’ve performed along side and shared bills with artists like Don Was, Patti Smith, Grammy Award Winning songwriter Kendall Marvel, Chris Stapleton, Elle King, Whitey Morgan, Katey Sagal, The Mavericks and others. Jennifer is a Detroit native that began her musical journey as many others did, in “the church”, only later to find a life redeemed in part though musical pursuits. She has been an advocate for the local music community, especially during covid, spearheading an effort that raised over $27,000 for local out of work musicians. Dylan grew up honing his guitar chops in the local blues joints. After four years of sobriety and a harrowing crossroads of his own, he has also become a published author in the Horror Fiction genre.
